Bogaczyk Law Firm, PLLC

Ms. Bogaczyk is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates and has been an attorney for 20 years but an advocate her entire adult life. Blending her psychology degree with a legal background fits her desire to continue to advocate on a broader level. Her intention is to work in an area that embraced her passion for disability rights coupled with filling a community void and need. After speaking with various agencies and some colleagues in the legal field, the common theme in discussions was the need for legal support in "special education" law. She then made the commitment and opened her private practice with a primary focus on special education law. She also has personal experience as a parent of a special needs child, and feels that being a visionary is important. She feels that parents know their child best, and feels its important to be prepared for an IEP meeting, and to not only encourage the team to set realistic goals, but to also create opportunities for the child to aspire to greatness during school and beyond.

Moline Challenger League

The Moline League was organized in 1992 and followed in the footsteps of the Iowa Quad Cities and Galesburg area, who have their own leagues. We started with two teams and played our games on Sundays at various locations in Rock Island and at Stephens Park in Moline. The program has grown in the past few years and we now have six teams. We still play our games on Sunday afternoons, but at Riverside Park in Moline. Each child gets to play the entire game, fielding and batting, in an hour long game to their hearts content.

Tobii Dynavox (Illinois)

We are a team of enthusiasts who are passionate about helping people with special needs. Our goal is to make a real difference by creating solutions that help people communicate with their environment, thereby living a richer and more independent life. Our solutions do not only benefit users, but also the people around them – parents, siblings, grandparents and caregivers as well as others encountered in everyday life. Our custom-designed solutions are easy to use and built to stand up to the rigors of daily life. Although our products are technically complex, especially our eye-controlled computers, we place a lot of energy on ensuring that they are easy to use – for the user as well as family and caregivers. We do not make "simple apps”. From experience, we know that they often lead to users being static in their communication. Unlike other providers, we offer communication solutions that every individual can grow and develop with throughout their life. Whether you need a speech generating device, computer control or solutions for special education, we strive to develop products that really work and are actually used.

Transitions Mental Health Services

Transitions recognize that mental illness can affect anyone, and we know that every person's illness is unique to their experience. Knowing this, we have assembled a group of mental health experts and designed a wide variety of clinical and supportive services to take on any issue that undermines mental health and wellness. We believe that improved mental health is possible for everyone and it is our duty to provide services that are flexible enough to work for everyone's unique circumstances, on an individual basis, regardless of the situation.
Our commitment to respect the dignity and worth of all Quad Citizens is the common thread that weaves the fabric of every service we provide. Anyone seeking to improve their mental health and wellness will be met with compassion and we will act to bring stability to everyone looking for clarity in times of difficulty. With this pledge, we commit to improve the mental health of the Quad Cities. Transitions is where action and compassion meet.
